About Us
Founder and head chef at Laurel. I’m a California native living in the south of France after leaving a nearly decade-long career at Waymo (Google’s self-driving car company) to pursue a dream of becoming a chef.
After deciding to make the switch into the culinary world, I completed an intensive culinary program and earned a diploma at Ferrandi Paris. After graduation, I began working in restaurants to get used to “life on the line.” This journey ultimately led me to Provence, working under chef Glenn Viel at the 3-star L’oustau de Baumanière. Under a piercingly blue sky, my ears ringing with the songs of cigales, it was then that I decided I had found the perfect setting to create Laurel.
I collaborate closely with talented local chefs and experienced servers to create personalized cooking classes and private dining experiences, ensuring each event is crafted with exceptional skill, attention to detail, and a warm, engaging atmosphere. By combining culinary expertise with outstanding service, we bring guests memorable, hands-on culinary journeys right in their own space.
